A Diagnostic (or your own read of the last five deals) points at one workstream — messaging, ICP, sales process, whichever — and the fix is bounded enough to scope in one sitting.
The trial before a retainer
Before committing to an ongoing Fractional CRO seat, a company wants direct, low-risk proof of how Malcolm works and what the output looks like.
Not the right engagement if:
Two or more workstreams are genuinely competing for attention — that's a GTM Dual Sprint or GTM Full Sprint, not a Quick Start stretched to cover more ground.
There's no artifact to point to — "done" has to be a specific, named deliverable, not a general improvement.
What Malcolm Does
A structured intake (scoping questionnaire, signed Scope Lock naming the one workstream and the one deliverable) followed by diagnosis and one rebuild of that artifact, informed by the client's own deal data. Three fixed checkpoints: kickoff, midpoint review (day 15), delivery review (day 30).
What the Client Receives
The named artifact itself — whatever "done" was defined as at intake — plus a written handoff note covering how to use it and what to watch for.
Engagement Structure
Duration: 30 days, kickoff to delivery.
Fee: €6,500 fixed.
Scope: exactly one workstream. A second workstream, however it surfaces mid-engagement, is out of scope by design — see GTM Dual Sprint if two gaps are real.
How It Connects
Quick Start is the smallest paid build. It follows naturally from a Diagnostic that names one clear constraint, and it's the lowest-risk way to work together before a Fractional CRO retainer. If a second workstream turns out to matter too, that's a GTM Dual Sprint, scoped and quoted separately — never an informal add-on to this engagement.
